The Alpha 2.0 Community that I described last week is now open! Go here to sign up for free:
I fully described the community last week here, but a quick summary is:
The Alpha 2.0 Community Blog – A public blog where members can give advice and opinions on the topics of the day. We have many contributors who will be writing helpful articles that are posted there on a regular basis.
The Alpha 2.0 Community Forums – Several forums, broken down by topics such as location independent businesses, women, financial management, fitness, and lifestyle. They are public, but only members can make posts. There is also a private forum, viewable for members only, and not indexed by Google.
User Groups – Anyone in the community can form their own groups on any sub-topic they wish. Examples would be Spanish-speaking Alpha 2.0’s, groups specifically for backpackers, for older guys, or whatever you like. Each group will have their own forum, which means yes, you can create and manage your own forum. Pretty damn cool.
Your Own Profile – You’ll have your own profile, just like on any other social network. You can decide if your profile is public or private, or if you use your real name or an alias. It’s all completely up to you. You’ll have your own friends within the community, your own feed, your own posting wall, etc. There is a messaging system, and there is also a badge system for certain groups of members.
Head on over to alpha20community.com and sign up; it’s free and always will be.
As I stated last week, I need to see at least 400 men sign up to the community ASAP, within the first few weeks, along with active participation in the blog and the forums there. Otherwise, I will shut the site down. Therefore, whether or not this community thrives is completely up to you. I’ve done the hard part, now you just need to sign up and contribute.
The good news is that I was absolutely overwhelmed last weekend with volunteers to contribute to the Alpha 2.0 Blog, as well as with moderators and other help; so much so that we had to set up a waiting list. So clearly, this is something you guys really wanted and are excited about. Prospects look good.
An Important Change Here At This Blog
I have been posting regularly here at the Blackdragon blog, without any breaks, since 2010. I will continue to post here until 2024 at the earliest. During the last seven years, I have answered every comment that asked a question of me in every thread on this blog, no matter how old the article was, even if the damn thing was six or seven years old. I have been one of the most accessible content providers in the manosphere.
These days, I no longer have the time in my weekly schedule to do this. As of today, I will still respond to comments at this blog, but only for the most recent three blog articles. I can no longer respond to comments in threads older than this. That means I’ll respond to comments in today’s blog post, plus the two before it. If you ask a question of me under a blog post older than that, other people here are free to help you, but I no longer can.
Fear not though… you now have all the knowledgeable guys over at the Alpha 2.0 Community who will be able to answer your questions. This was one of the many reasons why I started this community; not only to help you guys more, but to help other people give advice to those men in need instead of just relying on me. I’m just one guy and I can only do so much.
I’m still here at this blog to respond to comments, questions, disagreements, and objections (provided you don’t troll and you follow the Five Simple Rules this blog has for commenting), but if you want my personal response, you’ve got to confine your comments to the current three blog articles, and stay on-topic with those (I will ignore any off-topic questions). If you need any help within the Alpha Male 2.0 sphere that isn’t covered in the current three blog articles here, just go to the Alpha 2.0 Community and ask it over there.
I’m very excited about the future of this new community and what it means for your personal development and success in life. If there is anything else I can help you with, feel free to ask (either in the comments here or over at the community site).
Update 03/23/17 10:26am PST – This post has only been up a few hours and we’re already over 115 members. Not bad; already one-fourth of the way to the goal of 400. Spread the word if you want this site to stay!
Update 03/24/17 8:49pm PST – Well over 200 members now, in just over 36 hours. Halfway there already! Very cool. When we get this number to 400, I’ll consider this a set-in-stone website.
